Tracy Anderson Abcentric Metamorphosis

I am currently undertaking a 90 Day fitness challenge right now and I am loving it! Regular readers will know that I am a huge fan of the Tracy Anderson Method.

I have been training the method for a year now and I have seen great changes in my body, changes I never saw with other forms of exercise (and I have tried the all, believe me). Tracy's method streamlines my body so it is long and lean and the cardio component means I have the opportunity to dance everyday, which LOVE as I dance for a long time growing up.

How does the program work? Metamorphosis are workouts design to first and foremost attack your problem area, while simultaneously toning and tightening the whole body. You choose the body type you identify with and there are four types; Omnicentric, Hipcentric, Abcentric and Glutecentric. I am Abcentric, as I tend to gain weight in my midsection, so the workout is designed to tackle this problem area.

When you purchase the Meta set, you receive 5 discs, which include different 9 unique sets of muscular structure work outs (toning) and you switch discs for 10 days, so you are never bored and the muscles are confused and constantly challenge. Each muscular structure workout lasts 30 mins. You also receive a cardio disc which is 30 mins long.

To get the results you are looking out, you will complete 30 mins cardio and 30 mins muscular structure work, 6 days a week. I am currently on Day 8 and I have already seen great results! I will post my measurement every 10 days, so you can see how many inches and pounds I have lost since fully committing to the method.

If you visit the Tracy Anderson Method website, you can view a video which explains the workout much better than I do. Check it out here.

The Metamorphosis series costs $89.97 + Shipping of 3 months worth of workouts, plus a diet manual, progress tracking chart and measuring tape (to record inches lost ;) You can purchase them directly from Tracy's Website.

Try it and you will seriously not regret it. It IS hard work, but you will get the body you always dreamed of :)

  1. Can you get good results from this without following the diet plan? I eat pretty healthy and her diet is a bit too extreme for me, BUT I love her workouts!

  2. Do you need to do the cardio and MS workouts together? Or can you do one in the am and one in the pm?

  3. Hi Shannon, it's most beneficial if you do them back to back, but you can split them up if necessary.

  4. Suzi, all the results I posted were without the diet. I cannot follow her plan, as I love food too much. My body has changed dramatically just from the workouts. Cardio is the key though :)

  5. Just got the set...don't think I will follow the meal plan as it is too insane for me. Glad to see that you are not doing it either so I can use you as a marker. Keep us posted on your progress!

  6. Thank god. I just got the set and was so excited...until I saw the diet. I think I eat really healthy, and I was grossed out by the extreme diet and how weird it is (Kale power juices and chocolate pudding in the same day? I'll just have a salad and skip the sugar fest, thanks).

    Now I'm excited again...

  7. I agree! The diet wasn't addressed in the infomercial. When I saw that, I was annoyed by how extreme it was, too. Also, I am not a dancer. I'm on Day 3 - do you think I can run for 30 min. or more instead of always doing the Dance Cardio and still get results?

  8. I am 22, I have been an athlete all my life. when I gain weight I look huge because I naturally have lots of muscles. all I want is to tone and be lean. Not big! Im 53 and weight 160. Will this workout give me the results I want?
    Thanks!

  9. I'd have no problem eating the diet, I just don't wanna MAKE the diet. It's ridiculous. There has to be someone out there making the diet and we could just buy it. That better be what TA is working on next.

  10. I did this workout for 45 days, 6 days a week, never skipped a day, never skimped on the energy, and did not change my eating habits/diet at all. I measured every 10 days just per instructions. I measured this morning, on the 45th day, and discovered that I have not lost even half an inch on ANY part of my body. They do not accept returns or exchanges after 30 days, so I guess I'm just out of luck.

    1. Gina,
You can probably sell it on Ebay. I know I'd be happy to buy it from you for less than the $90 they sell it for!

    2. Gina,
That's distressing to hear. I just purchased the product and am expecting to see a dramatic difference using the exercise and diet. Well, I guess I will see how it works at day 28-29.

  11. To add to what you said Gina. They dont even accept returns if you opened the DVDs and tried them. The only do a return if you send the set back without 30 days unopened.

  12. I just did my first session of Metamorphosis Abcentric by Tracy, and I am looking forward to seeing if I get results... I have heard lots of mixed reviews, but I am feeling cautiously optimistic since the dance cardio kicked my butt, I was drenched in sweat at the end of the 30 minutes. The "transforming" section, however, was disappointing, as I did not feel a thing. I plan on sticking to it though, since I want to be swim suit gorgeous. I'm only 5'4 and weigh 117 lbs, I'm just wanting to get back the amazing body I had two summers ago, so I think her cardio and somewhat wimpy toning videos might be able to shed a few pounds off my stomach and tone me up.

    1. hey, I know it's been awhile since you wrote about Tracy Andersons workout. I just wanted to make a suggestion to you. If you're 5'4" obviously you have no fat. If you wanna tone up and get more fit all over try INSANITY. If you think TA kicked your butt, this'll blow your mind. It's a bit overwhelming but amazingly awesome and rewarding at the same time. I hope you check it out. Turbo Jam is also awesome!

  16. I ordered the abcentric set and was very disappointed in the diet plan. No way could anyone follow that. Also, the cardio was ridiculous. There are no instructions and you are pretty much just jumping around. I say skip the cost of this one and try something else. Unfortunately, you can't send it back after you open the plastic, but you have to open it to see what it is. VERY DISAPPOINTED

  17. I am sorry to hear that some of you are disappointed with the results. TA has changed my body, in fact, it is better than before I had my daughter who is now 3 yrs old. It changed my body (although, I only have 10 pounds of so to use) but I find that I can eat what I want and gain weight, even if I only do 20 mins dance cardio and the 30 mins Abcentric DVD per day. I am a HUGE fan and I LOVE it!!

  18. Hi Jenelle,

I just bought the meta series last night and am anxiously waiting for it to be delivered! I am curious to see your measurement/time line chart. Will you direct me to where it is posted?

    Thank you!

  19. I bought the hipcentric and love it. I am already seeing results and not following her diet- I too am a foodie. The funny part is I need to also really get my abs into shape, but I have her post pregnancy DVD for that(never had a baby- the ab work on that is KILLER!!). I also use her MAT DVD to get my arms into shape. I love her workouts- I really see results. She shapes yur body and really tones. But I admit I don't do the 6 days a week- sometimes just 2-4. I have good genes on my side so I see results pretty quickly. But age is getting to me now.....I see some negative comments - but for those that haven't tried it - try it and she does have you tube videos that are free with some 15-20 minute workouts. Wouldn't do the diet- I did do her three week plan (all solid food) and lost 10 lbs. but you can't keep that pace up. Would rather workout hard and be able to splurge now and then :)

  20. Thank you everyone for ur comments. I gained 100lbs during pregnancy, lost 102lbs then gained back 25. Also since my husband is Indian and my son HATED Indian food I cook 2 seperate meals a day and have no time to cook for my self so I drink hebalife shakes and eat a health lunch. Has anyone had extra skin the needed to tighten and was able to do so using this program? please help Also I so love my wine but will be cutting back on that ummm to 2 x per month!

  21. Okay, hee's my take. I boughtthe Abcentric. I don't liek the cardio. I don't care for that dance style. Also, I'm annoyed by a few things.I don't think she engages the viewer (me) very well at all. I feel like I'm peeping over her shoulder at the gym trying to copy her moves. I'm lso annoyed tht she doesn't have visible timers on the screen. i have to get these workouts in before I gte my 2 y o up for school. She also doesn't tell me how many times I'm doing an exercise or when she switched the move. This all seems about her and not the viwer. HOWEVER, I will give it te full 30 days before judge it. Her cardio is out, but the muscle structure may be what I'm looking for. Thansk for reading!

  22. I just ordered this set on QVC they do accept returns............within 30 days

    ReplyDelete
  23. Actually, you can return anything to QVC whenever you want, you just lose out on shipping. I just got omnicentric a week ago, but I cannot follow exactly either. So I do my best and if it's 20 mins cardio one day than that's what I do. I have several medical issues so I do what I can. And I love it so far! Might take a while, but I still eat carefully.

  24. Ok I am a little nervous I just purchase the absentric I am excited about this this is my last move of desperation. I am wondering what the meal plan is like. I watched on Youtube on the review said I needed a juicer... is this right.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've been doing Omnicentric very diligently for the past 30 days +... I just started Transform 2, Day 31+ and the DVD skips and stalls out... I've just emailed the tracyandersonmethod.com website that I bought it from (I bought it directly from her site to avoid bad DVDs - go figure!)and I'm awaiting a response/request for them to replace the damaged DVD and I'll return the damaged DVD to them as soon as I get the replacement so as not to skip a workout.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I just received a notice from tracyandersonmethod.com and they will be send out a replacement DVD soon! (In response to Nov. 7, 2011 2:47pm post)
